Whew! There was such good stuff this week/weekend, that I had to do this post in two parts! The photos below are finds from one auction. Yes, I said auction! My new discovery!! It's competitive because there are lots of dealers there, but unlike garage sales in Minnesota, the auctions are all year long...and indoors!

Serendipity

Serendipity had a big sale...20% off everything in the store. I found some clever little goodies. I have a simple repurpose idea for you on that medical prescription file box. Stay tuned to WhisperWood Cottage for that! I've used the duster already. No, Cher, I did not wear a matching outfit! (I know you were thinking it!)

Goodwill

I picked up this great large frame for $2.00 at Goodwill. The signed art says "Sleep my child in peaceful slumber all through the night." I remember singing a choir song that had that line in it. The great silver piece was $1.00...again, keep posted on WhisperWood Cottage to see what you can do with a similar piece. The magazine rack is already on its way to the store. Need to organize those mags or books in vintage style?

Garage Sale

This plant stand has just the right touch of aging, rust, and patina to make it perfect for holding drinks, plants, or decor on your patio or deck! The apothecary style side table is in the midst of a makeover.

All my finds this weekend came from the flea market we had in Duluth.

Don't you love the green enamelware box (from vendor Sue)? I also found...

A foldable table (from vendor Sarah)...

A pair of collapsible chairs from a new vendor I met (Seriously...I need to work on remembering names!)...

From that same new vendor, a great antique chaise... it's solid and comfortable! I was testing it out at the flea market! It is available for sale right now!...It's not even in the store yet, so you can have first dibs! Just email me!

This great architectural piece was a trade for some chairs I had in the store. I've had my eye on it for 2 years! It will be used in the master bedroom as an art ledge when we redo the room (hopefully, this summer). For right now, it is stored in the Junk Shed. It's about 14 feet long and was salvaged from a building in downtown Duluth...a building right across from Old Town Antiques (where my booth is).
