Its a new year and the Pfarkel Sisters have an event to get on your calendars...
Vintage Treasures Market
Friday and Saturday, June 17 & 18, 2011.
New Location: Fountain, MN (14 mi. south of St. Charles)
Bigger shopping area, a lot of parking space, and great, great country view overlooking the valleys behind us. Will set up some picnic areas for lunch. More details will be coming to vendors in the next week. If anyone is interested in being a vendor, email Sharon for additional information.
Howdy, junk and antique vendors! If you're looking for a vending opportunity in April, there's a new junk event in town! In Des Moines, IA, that is. Jan of Junk Jubilee emailed to let me know about this exciting new juried show, which will be April 8-10, 2011.
That's good news for vendors and shoppers alike! If you are a vendor, check out the information below and give Jan or Miccia a call. They'll answer all your questions and get you a great space!! Shoppers, get it on your calendar! Follow the junk, I say!
JUNK JUBILEE, Des Moines, IA - We are excited to announce a new opportunity for junk enthusiasts to “strut their junk” and share their creative vision for repurposing what others have deemed useless at our First Annual Junk Jubilee!
Our purpose is to provide a unique, high quality shopping experience for the Des Moines area attendees. In order to ensure this, Junk Jubilee will be a juried show offering a variety of merchandise.
This event will be held indoors in the 4-H Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 8, 9, & 10, 2011. We have chosen this location for several reasons: well marked location that is easy to find, plenty of parking for vendors and attendees, wide overhead doors for loading and unloading merchandise as well as multiple double doors on all side of the building. This brick building is fully enclosed, heated, and has nearly 50,000 square feet of floor space. Also, there will be on-site concessions with sandwiches, snacks, and beverages. No alcohol will be served in the concessions as this is planned to be a family friendly event.
This being our first show, we will be widely advertising through out the Midwest to draw attendees in from neighboring states. We will have our website up and going soon so that we can promote each of our vendors, provide details about the event, and let others know that we are serious about good junk.
We will have a block of rooms with a discounted rate for vendors at two nearby hotels. However, there are several other hotels within a 15-30 minute radius.
For additional information and answers to your questions, please contact either of us.
Okay, junkers and junk vendors! I've been planning out my junk adventures for 2011 using my "Dreaming of Junking 2011" calendar. Sue@Vintage Rescue Squad has all the major national junk events in the calendar already! Such a time saver...and gorgeous photos, too!! Do you have yours yet?
I've been known to travel far and wide for junk events, so please tell me when and where your event will be!! In addition to major national events, I'm looking for small, medium, and large size junk events, flea markets, occasional sales, etsy shop events, online events, etc. where I can find vintage, antique, and junk pieces!! I know there are a lot out there!!
How many times have you said, "I wish I would have known about it." or "Maybe next year." If you're like me, then you've said it too many times." This year, let's plan ahead, get these events on our calendars, and make plans to go!
And I want to share these events with everyone, so I'd love for you to sign up your event or sale using the linkies below. The link will automatically update the new 2011 Junk Calendar page (see tab above). I'll leave it up all year long, so you can add an event at any time. And you can stop by to see what events are in your neighborhood. Hoping to attend your event in 2011!!
